Prepare artwork and high-quality audio
Check your files before submitting a release.
Cover artwork
Use square artwork at least 1400 by 1400 pixels; 3000 by 3000 is recommended. Use JPEG, PNG or WebP within the uploader's 15 MB limit. Artwork should be clear, authorized and relevant to the release.
Audio masters
WAV or FLAC is preferred, at least 16-bit and 44.1 kHz. Up to 24-bit and 192 kHz is supported by the master guidance. MP3 and M4A are also accepted within the uploader's 500 MB limit. Converting a poor recording to WAV does not improve its sound.
Listen before submitting
Check for clipping, distortion, intrusive noise, missing audio, abrupt cutoffs and uneven levels. Confirm that the correct master plays from beginning to end and that you have permission to use every recording, sample and image.
Processing is not approval
An upload can be stored while validation and streaming preparation are still running. A ready audio status means preparation completed, not that the release passed human review.
