Take down a release or upload it again

Take down your release

Open the release record in Studio and choose Take down release. Select one required reason and confirm. An artist-requested takedown does not need a separate approval.

Upload a previously removed release

Find its Release ID in the Taken down tab. In New release, indicate that you uploaded it before and enter that ID. Eligible artist-requested removals can reopen the same record as a private draft, preserving its track identity and statistics.

Limits

You must control the artist page. A staff or rights removal cannot be bypassed by restoring the release yourself. Reopened music still needs review before going public. Keep the same ID for the same release; do not reuse another recording's identity.
